We are excited to offer online training for parents, teachers, and coaches of elementary, middle school, and high school students who will be participating during the 2020-2021 school year. Elementary and middle school parents will be on Monday and Wednesday evenings, and high school parents will be on Tuesday and Thursday evening. The elementary and middle school training will cover the basics of Public Debate, and the High School program will cover the variety of high school events including Policy (CX), Public Forum, and Individual Speech Events.
Whether these adults are already connected with an existing debate program or are brand new to the activity, we’re ready to serve them. Adults can offer a lot of support to a team, serving as a coach, a club advisor, or as a booster parent. This training workshop is perfect for adults who are new to debate or looking to expand debate programs in their school or their student’s school. The instruction will be delivered live and will be recorded so that the material can be watched later. The Parents, Teachers and Coaches Training is the only program we will record for later watching because it doesn’t compromise the safety of minors to record.
